Coming to the Atari VCS in 2021
Promoting creative games from indie developers… that is our focus. We are putting a ton of effort into finding new games for the Atari VCS that are still under development, recently launched games, and discovering gems that were launched over the last few years but failed to find the audience they deserved.
The first game we want to share is The Spirit of the Samurai, an epic adventure with metroidvania-style gameplay that lets you explore non-linear levels.
The Spirit of the Samurai, the vision of Cartagena-based Digital Mind, is scheduled to launch in December 2021, but backers and Atari VCS owners will have early access to playable demos earlier in the year.
We highly encourage fans to support Digital Mind’s efforts via their recently launched Kickstarter campaign.
While you travel around the giant map, every single spot counts, as you discover new items, new secret areas, particular puzzles to solve and unique enemies.
One of the main features of The Spirit of the Samurai is that you play with three unique characters — a Samurai, a Kodama and a cat — each of which has its own skills and gameplay style. As you progress, you can upgrade your character’s basic skills by leveling up its strength, stamina, or agility.
